主讲人简介:

邱林，南洋理工大学心理学系副教授，西北大学博士。主要研究兴趣包括社会心理学，网络心理学和计算社会科学。研究成果多次发表在国外权威期刊上，包括Psychological Science, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, Journal of Research in Personality, Computers in Human Behavior, Journal of Computational Social Science, 和Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking。目前担任Journal of Computational Social Science的副主编和Asian Journal of Social Psychology的副主编。

活动简介:

Big data allows social scientists to study real-life human behaviour at an unpresented scale. Meanwhile, virtual reality enables researchers to conduct immersive experiments balancing experimental control and ecological validity. Together, they are making an historic change in the methodological realm of behavioural sciences. In this talk, I will present examples of using these two methodological tools to study personality and well-being, and discuss common problems and possible solutions in using these tools.
