An MBA gala of the School of Management kicked off in Hall 206 on February 26. Attendees of the gala included vice dean (in charge of daily work) Prof. Wang Zongjun, vice dean Prof. Long Lirong, MBA director Associate Prof. Yun Hong, as well as heads of departments, MBA teachers and corporate representatives.
Prof. Wang Zongjun addressed the gala. He reviewed MBA work of the School of Management and pointed out that the School attached great importance to MBA teaching and provided favorable study environment for MBA students in terms of faculty and management. Looking ahead, he said that MBA faculty of the School were an active force to make the School tenet, “Cradle of Corporate Leaders and Hall of Management Masters”, possible in reality. Under the backdrop of key events, such as the founding anniversary of the university, the year 2012 marked an important year for continuous progress for MBA faculty. Prof. Wang Zongjun spoke highly of the gala and called for more such extra-curriculum activities for MBA students.
The gala started with a fun and energetic dancing, followed by cross talks, raps, guzheng playing, saxophone playing, pi-pa playing, calligraphy and fun play, pushing the gala to new heights. The hot modern dance and the soul-soothing guzheng playing led audiences to different times; cross talks, calligraphy, singing and play show versatilities of MBA students. The hall was filled with warmth, surprises, applauses and laughter.
On the site of the gala, a lucky draw was set up through Weibo (Chinese Twitter), which greatly attracted the students, who logged on their Weibo accounts and made comments on the show and expressed their wishes. After the programs were over, it reached another climax when the on-site lucky draw began. Prof. Wang Zongjun presented the prizes to lucky audiences and had a group photo with them.
The gala lasted for over two hours and wrapped up in warm applauses and high admiration.
