On May 25 and 26, Strategic Management Society (SMS) and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal (SEJ) Special Issue Conference & TONGJI-HIT International Forum on Entrepreneurship and Innovation were held at Shanghai, with the theme “Frontier Research on Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Emerging Economies”.
As one of the world’s most famous management societies, SMS especially organized its famous strategic entrepreneurship management journal SEJ (included in SSCI) to compile a special issue on the research on entrepreneurship and strategy in emerging economies. The top scholars such as Professor Mike Wright, Professor Gary Bruton and Professor Lgor Filatotchev and so on were invited for the chief editors. Through a strict reviewing process, The special issue finally selected 6 academic papers from over 90 submissions from all over the world for this special issue conference.
The paper titled “How Founding Team Respond to Surprise: A Transactive Memory System Perspective”, which was co-written by Professor Mai Yiyuan of our School and Assistant Professor Yanfeng Zheng from the University of Hong Kong, was one of the 6 selected papers. The Conferee thought the paper would make a valuable contribution to entrepreneurship and strategy in emerging economics.
SEJ is the second internationally influential academic journal on management established by SMS after Strategic Management Journal (SMJ.) It is called the sister publication of SMJ. International top scholars in the entrepreneurship field from America, England, India, Spain, Hong Kong SAR and mainland China attended the conference.
