德国慕尼黑大学（Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München）民法、知识产权法与竞争法教授，现任该校法学院院长，并自2009年起担任牛津大学知识产权法访问教授，同时为牛津大学圣彼得学院资深访问成员、伦敦中殿律师学院荣誉成员。主要研究领域包括知识产权法、不正当竞争法、比较法以及欧洲与国际知识产权法。曾任马克斯·普朗克知识产权与竞争法研究所研究员及英联邦法部门负责人，曾在拜罗伊特大学任教，并主持德国科研基金会资助的“知识产权与公共自由”研究机构。出版多部知识产权与竞争法领域重要著作和编著，相关论文发表于 Journal of Intellectual Property Law & Practice、IIC - International Review of Intellectual Property and Competition Law 等期刊，并担任德国知识产权法权威期刊 GRUR 共同主编。

活动简介：

This lecture explores the intellectual property challenges raised by the training and application of generative AI, with a particular focus on copyright infringement. As generative AI systems are increasingly developed and deployed across creative, commercial, and technological fields, important legal questions have emerged regarding the use of protected works in AI training and the status of AI-generated outputs. Drawing on a European perspective, the speaker will examine how copyright law responds to these issues, including relevant aspects of the EU AI Act. The lecture will also discuss the possible implications of generative AI for patent and trade mark law, highlighting recent developments in this evolving area. By focusing on the IP dimension rather than AI regulation in general, the talk offers a clear and timely analysis of one of the most pressing legal issues in contemporary innovation and digital governance.
