(Written by: Wu Na) On November first to forth, the final of 2014 China College Students’ Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). Our students won two prizes for their excellent performance. The Team “Happiness Worm” (Instructor: Dai Xin, Mao Jiabing) won the national gold award of Public Welfare Entrepreneurship and the Team “Big Data” (Instructor: Yang Zhi, from School of Management and Jiang Wenhai, from the School of Computing) won the national silver award of Entrepreneurship Planning.
Since the competition started in January, those two teams stood out from nearly 100,000 university projects, 20,000 provincial projects and more than 2,00 colleges and finally they advanced into the final competition through university and provincial competition (A total of 385 venture projects from 209 universities).　
Our students has participated in this competitions with great enthusiasm since it started. Team “Happiness Worm” helped seniors in Jiangxia District with their project of breeding of Tenebrio. They tried to establish special area of breeding Tenebrio in Hubei Province through producing a variety of products like industrial oils, cosmetics, health products and protein powder. The "Big Data" Team is developed by our school and the School of Computing. This team provided data processing services of enterprise-class to large customers and meet the needs of different users through the "Fei Liu big data processing engine". In this team, our students were responsible for market operations, financial analysis, and human resource management, while students form the School of Computing were responsible for technical development, the construction of network platform and some other supports.
During this year, students in the two teams, with the help of instructors, revised their enterprise plannings and practiced their presentations again and again. During this competition, they not only gained the passion of entrepreneur, but also learned valuable experiences of entrepreneur .

Chinese dream, entrepreneurial dream, my dream" was set as the theme of the competition, which is the most popular one in the university academic competitions. What’s more, this competition used "3 + 2" competition system, while "3" represents the three main events, "Challenge Cup" Business Plan Competition, business practices and social entrepreneurship competition.
